Let’s Start Anew

Hello everyone, It’sa me Ronnio! (Lol mario, get it?)

Yeah, I noticed that there hasn’ been anything posted on this blog for quite a while. (A LONG while.) You may have noticed this too, or you may have forgoten entirely that this blog even exists. No worries man, no worries.

Here’s the deal; I have always really wanted to be a blogger, so when I started this blog I did TONS of research on what makes blogs succesfull, and I tried all of the suggestions. ALL of them. It got to a point where blogging was tiring, I wasn’t proud of what I was writing, so I quit writing altogether.

That’s not the purpose of blogging to me.

Sure, some people might think it’s nice to go to a blog that has all the post related to each other or at least to a central theme. Maybe some people only read blog posts that have pictures. Perhaps you hate surprises, so you like it when bloggers tell you what they plan on writing about, and what projects they are working on.

I just can’t blog like that. I tried, I failed, and I’ve done so multiple times. I have attempting and abandoming blogs for at least 10 years.  I am just not a “content creator.” While I do like drawing, I don’t have all the time and energy that it takes to make my own paperdolls for people to use. I have never really cared for monthly newsletters. I could ramble on and on about how I don’t have the skills, desire, or patience to be like all of the famous and succesful bloggers, but that is not really what I was planning on saying in this post.

What I really want to say is this:

Ronnie dolls is coming back.

No, I will not write on a regular schedule.

No I will not include pictures for every blog post.

No, all my posts will not follow a common theme.

I will write about what I want to write about when I ant to write about it. It may be boring, it may bee deep, it may, or may not be about dolls. I don’t care if the name of my blog ceases to make sense. It is my blog, and if you have problems with it, you can just leave. This blog will just be me writing, because that is what I love to do. You are welcome to read what I write, or you are welcome to ignore it, this blog is made by me, for me. Because that is something that makes me happy.

Mother’s Day: Time to Play

In case you weren’t paying attention, this Sunday is Mother’s day. (Quick buy a gift!)
In celebration of this event, it is my honor to introduce Dolls, Dragons, and Daily Life’s first Guest Blogger: My Mom.
Mothers Day
A child’s work is to play. Both young children and older children learn through their play. When children are not allowed to play they do not fully develop into a well-rounded adult. Having taken many childhood development courses before having children I was blessed to know these things.

Camp NaNoWriMo: Come Write With Me

Every November a world wide event called NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) is held on nanowrimo.org. The goal of the event is to write a novel (50,000 words) before the month ends. It’s a fairly well known event, and I myself participate every year.

You may be wondering why I would write about an autumn event when spring is just beginning. Well, wonder no longer- I’m actually writing about NaNoWriMo’s sister event Camp NaNoWriMoCamp NaNoWriMo is held twice a year during April and June, and it is significantly less rigid that the NaNoWriMo held in November.

So what is Camp NaNoWriMo all about? It’s about writing of course! The goal of Camp NaNoWriMo is just write- it doesn’t have to be a novel, but it can be anything you’d like. Camp NaNoWriMo invites you to create a writing project that could be classified as nonfiction books, poetry, scripts, short stories, or revisions. Then, there is the ever-inviting “Other” category.

The “Other” category has no limitations, plus the people at NaNoWriMo are always encouraging creative and new ways of stretching the rules. For this category you could create a writing goal for journaling, shopping lists, lecture notes, anything- as long as you are writing!

I had planned on writing a novel this month, however after starting this blog post, and noticing for myself the flexibility of the “other” category, I decided to change my project. THIS (my blog) is going to be my new project.

I also had planned on posting this blog post at the beginning of the week so that I could invite others to join me, and give them time to plan out their own writing projects, but I procrastinated. Though I still invite you to join me, you may not have time to prepare. Fortunately, I have an inspirational quote to encourage you to try anyways:

Great people do things before they’re ready. They dothings before they know they can do it. doing what you’reafraid of, getting out of your comfort zone, taking riskslike that — that is what life is. You might find out.png

Until Next Time,

This is an Apology

I must apologize. Not to you, the reader, but to myself.

When I started this blog, over a month ago I told my self I was going to publish a post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Considering this is only my second post, I think it’s safe to say that wasn’t a very realistic goal. I’ve been trying to make an excuse for myself, but really there isn’t one.

So to myself, “I am sorry. I’m sorry for setting unattainable goals, and I’m sorry for feeling bad for not accomplishing them. ”

This is An Apology
